Founder and Chief Executive

Alex began his career in the construction industry as a sixteen year old apprentice, rising through the ranks from site operative to Board Director.

He has delivered landmark projects including Braehead Shopping Centre, Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow University Bio-Medical Building and many more.

Mid-career Alex completed an MSC and then a PhD, focused on construction innovation.

This led him to develop a passion for data, excited by the prospect AI and technology could transform the industry, and the launch of Apsis.

Alex also continues to be involved in project management and consultancy, brining rea-world experience to every aspect of Apsis.

GRAEME COOK

Chief Operation Officer

A chartered accountant, Graeme has more than twenty years’ board level leadership experience within the construction, property development, semi-conductor and defence sectors. He is also an experienced Non-Executive Director and Audit Chair.

Graeme has a track record of driving financial transformation, improving operational performance and cost forecasting within complex organisations in the built environment.

He is currently Chair of the Board of Trustees of Turning Point Scotland.

PAUL STANEY

Chief Technology Officer

Paul brings over two decades of experience in IT, programming, and systems architecture, with a career that began in CAD modelling for the healthcare sector.
He has delivered pioneering projects including the IT infrastructure and 3D modelling for Milton Keynes District General Hospital (Phase 2) — a milestone in healthcare design technology.

Since founding his own consultancy in 2015, Paul has specialised in custom software solutions for architects and construction firms, blending technical precision with a deep understanding of real-world project workflows.
At Apsis, Paul leads on product development and system design, ensuring every tool is intuitive, reliable, and built to handle the demands of construction businesses.

MAX MODLIN

Head of AI Engineering

Max is passionate about bridging the gap between emerging AI technology and everyday business operations.

With extensive experience developing tools for complex enterprise environments, he focuses on improving system reliability, streamlining operations, and automating manual processes through smart AI-driven design.

At Apsis, Max is responsible for the AI integration and learning modules, ensuring the technology evolves alongside each client’s business.
His mission is to make AI practical, accessible, and transformative for the construction industry.
